Gift cards can ONLY be used as payment for the retailer on the front of the card.

 

How scammers may contact you: Scammers demand payment with gift cards for:
Home phone
Email
Text
Cell phone
Letter through US Postal Service		 Bail money
IRS payment
Technology support
Taxes for winning a lottery
Help for someone in your religious or community organization


Hang up!  Don’t respond!  No real business or government agency will ever ask you to pay them with gift cards.
