Best Buy Joins Forces with AARP & National Association of Attorneys General and creates PSA on Gift Card Scams

Gift card scams don’t slow down after the holidays have come and gone. As gift cards have grown in popularity over the years, they’re increasingly targeted by scammers as an easy way to steal money from innocent victims. These scammers can be very convincing, and typically prey on older adults.

We don’t want our customers to become victims of gift card fraud. That’s why Best Buy has partnered with AARP and National Association of Attorneys General to create a public service announcement (PSA) educating consumers on how to spot and avoid gift card scams.

The campaign was featured in a CBS This Morning segment on December 26th.  You can view the segment here.  The full PSA can be viewed here.
